Conscious Consumers
INTRODUCING THE CONSCIOUS CONSUMERS 06 May 2010
A real surprise package, the eco-aware, creatively minded.
The Conscious Consumer is a more sensitive kind of Kiss listener, far from what you would expect. They’re organic loving, environmentally friendly cultural explorers. For our Conscious Consumer Kiss is a part of an eclectic range of listening and they dip into Kiss for specific needs, be it to work out at the gym, to help relax on a Sunday morning with the rehab or to listen to their favourite funky house DJ whilst they work.
You won’t find these guys constantly updating their status on Facebook, the internet is there to help them explore the world and plan their next adventure. Equally you won’t find these guys drunkenly dancing on a Saturday night, they’d rather stay in with friends and make the latest dish that caught their eye on Saturday Kitchen. However, the weekend is at it's best when they can get out of the urban confides and head for an eco friendly trek in the glorious countryside.
Celebrity is not important in a Conscious Consumer’s world, if they are under this typology’s radar it’s because they are pioneering celebs whose career is far more focussed on substance rather than style. Their own style comes from the boutiques and high street gems that they decide is right for them. These guys will have quite a few pounds to spend so bargain hunting isn’t a priority but spending wisely is. Wasting money on flashy cars is not their style, you’re more likely to see them on a bus as they travel to work.
When it comes to media consumption this typology spend their evening in front of the BBC with a bit of Channel four thrown in. Newspapers are all about broadsheets and magazines must have pioneering articles and practical tips, from cooking to saving energy, Conscious Consumers like to keep learning.
Here are some key attitudes of a Conscious Consumer
- Conscious consumers are very concerned about pollution and always recycle, they're more than willing to pay more for environmentally friendly products.
- They are interested in the arts and travelling as much as they can
- They care about what they eat, paying more and spending time looking for organic foods then cooking their meals from scratch
- They prefer quiet evenings in to going out
