Progressive Youth
INTRODUCING THE PROGRESSIVE YOUTH 07 May 2010
Fast-living, fun-loving and always first to new ideas and brands
The Progressive Youth are the youngest of Kiss’ listeners. For them Kiss is part of the love of their life, music. These guys are all about enjoying music, whether it’s just hanging out with friends and listening to it, clubbing, dancing, writing, mixing or reading about music. Music builds thier friendships and thier lifestyle.
For these listeners life is not serious at all, they’re all about having fun and being young. A career is something to think about later, much later, they want to focus on themselves and not some global corporation. But they're still workers, a bit of money is essential for holidays, friday nights and getting through a hangover. Of course looking good is important too but they’ll be checking out the bargains on the high street and looking to stay ahead of the curve with a fashion that’s edgy yet stylish.
Our Progresive Youth are in touch with what's current but they like to stay ahead of the curve. When it comes to celebrity, what counts is the right attitude. Party girls Lily Allen and Kate Moss have a progressive youth ethos, as do celebrities who are passionate about their music, such as our very own Logan Sama. Their media consumption reflects this party ethos. They want easy headlines, gossip and fashion from the tabloids and fun satire from magazines like Heat and FHM. When it comes to TV they are the Channel 4 generation, think Skins, Hollyoaks and the Inbetweeners with a bit of MTV thrown in for good measure. All of which you’ll know about from their constant stream of facebook updates. All of this will be done whilst having their ear glued to their phone. How else are they going to plan the next night out?
Here are some key attitudes of a Progressive Youth
- The Progressive Youth can not be without thier phone
- Music is a very important part of thier life
- They like to keep up with the latest fasions
- They enjoy life and don’t worry about the future
