KISS COLLEGE INSIGHT PANEL 03 February 2010
At Kiss Confidential we're always hungry for insight, so what better way to have all we can eat than with our very own Insight Panel.
Thanks to some keen Kiss listeners from the university of Oxford Brookes, we have a team of young and insightful students who are taking a break from thier essays to have a think on our behalf.
Have a look below at our panel and find out just who will be giving you guys some great insight. We'll be getting regular updates from them over the coming months as we set them juicy tasks to get their teeth into.
Amy Jones
I'm 20 years old and I'm in my final year at Oxford Brookes, studying English Language and Communication combined with Communication, Media and Culture.
At Uni I enjoy getting involved with extra-curricular stuff, such as Brookes TV for which I present, and I'm currently hoping to present on Brookes Radio as soon as it gets up and running!
I love all genres of music including indie, pop, r&b and reggae. My favourite track on Kiss at the moment is Britney Spears ‘3’. My favourite Kisstory track would have to be Michael Jackson’s ‘Don’t stop till you get enough’.
Sian Elizabeth Owen
I'm a history and anthropology student at Oxford Brookes University currently in my final year preparing myself for the daunting prospect of “the real world”.
I’ve had what I can only describe as the best 3 years of my life, making the best friends in the world, doing the craziest things and learning a bit about history along the way.
I love music, festivals, partying, sleeping (it off), magazines and food. I want to work in broadcast journalism after graduating, either here in London or across the pond in the Big Apple. Let’s just see what the future holds...
The track i enjoy at the moment is Calvin Harris, You used to hold me. My fave old school song has to be Masters at Work, To be in Love....wahh it reminds me of summer!
Julia Aufderklamm
I am 21 years old, originally from Austria, Innsbruck, and I am studying Communication, Culture and Media combined with International Relations.
I really like listening to all types of music and I think that music should be something emotionally touching, in any way; sad, happy, angry, partying. I love watching movies, riding horses, generally spending time with animals but the most important thing is music - listening and playing it.
My favourite current Kiss track would be Calvin Harris with You used to hold me and my "old school" Kiss track would be Kanye West with Gold Digger
Francesca Babaoye
I study Media, Communication and Performing Arts at Oxford Brookes University. I am from Nunhead in South East London and I'm 20 years old. I have a lot of interest in radio, I am currently part of a local radio station in Peckham, I have also done my own show with Diesel:U:Music radio.
I love singing, dancing and the usual. I love going raving with my friends as well as going shopping when I have the money.
I am a big fan of music as it is something I listen every single day, either on my journey to a lecture or to work, or even to the shop, I’m addicted like that. I try to listen to all types of music but I’m currently listen to R'n'B, Hip hop, bashment, funky house, House, old skool garage, garage, grime, afro beat and some soul - anything that gets me moving and thinking.
I love hearing Russian roulette by Rhianna on Kiss right now and my favourite classic, old school 'Kisstory' song has to be Poison by Bell Biv DeVoe.
Hema Chauhan
I'm currently in my final year of my degree which is English Studies and Communication, Media and Culture.
I'm planning to get into TV or Radio once I graduate and I will be based in London after I graduate too.
My favourite Kisstory song is Borderline by Michael Gray and my favourite track at the moment is Starstruck by 3OH!3
Eve Gesbert
I am a 19 year old French student and have been living in the UK for almost 3 years now. I stayed in London for a year and I am now in Oxford currently studying Media, Communication and Culture.
My musical tastes are very wide ranging from Jack White (the White Stripes, The Raconteurs, the Dead Weather) to oldies like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles to The Black EYed Peas, Kanye West and Dizzee Rascal.
