PROJECT PHOENIX III THE KISS VERSION 24 April 2009
Project Phoenix is Bauer Media’s insight into the ever changing world of music, offering an unrivalled view of the opportunities and challenges that the UK music industry faces.
After conducting 1800 interviews with consumers aged 16-45 we have taken all the Kiss listeners from those participants to get a Kiss phoenix edit which delves into our listeners’ minds, getting an understanding of their perceptions of the music industry, and how they connect with their music, their peers and their consumer world.
This presentation explores just how passionate Kiss listeners are, and not only about music.
Looking at Kiss compared to the UK and other relevant stations gives us an indicator of where Kiss stands in the market. We can see what their career dreams are, top motivations and how their listening habits can contradict assumptions of the typical Kiss listener.
Although you may be able to guess what the number one genre for the Kiss audience is, it may surprise you to see where Grime, Reggae, and even Indie rank. We also see the commercial value in our listeners as they tell us how much they spend on music, fashion and clubbing and which one they spend the most on.
If you want the statistics to break our audience down and reveal how music is consumed, where it’s consumed and with who, then please contact Mark Crawford or Joanna Knights.
