MUMS RULE AND OTHER TOP INSIGHTS! 10 October 2008

Our online survey of 400 Kiss listeners revealed a host interesting things. Here’s some of them.

  • We asked the listeners who they rate as their biggest role model.  Celeb culture duly took a bit of a bashing with the vast majority opting for their mums.
  • Further bad news for celebs. We gave them a list of possible things which may be important to them. Celebs came in last, in 20th place. The top ten, meanwhile, was as follows:

    3. Music
    4. My Mobile
    5. Staying Healthy
    6. Making Money
    7. Saving Money
    8. Clubbing
    9. Internet
    10. Holidays
  • A huge 72.2% of the respondents said they listen to more music than five years ago – a similarly impressive 69.01% said they listen to more radio than they used to five years ago.
  • Interestingly, a relatively high 31.94% said they're buying more music.
  • R&B proved twice as popular as other music genres – it’s the shared turf for them all, with almost all of the audience liking R&B then having their own more individual tastes (grime, bassline, drum ‘n’ bass etc).
